Research
We aim to develop safe and effective drug delivery technologies to empower early detection, precise stratification, and personalized therapy for cancer and other human healthcare challenges. To accomplish this goal, we integrate chemistry, biomaterials science, nanomedicine, molecular imaging, and immunoengineering fundamentals to study the relationship between in vivo drug transport and biological barriers to the drug delivery systems.
Precision Nanomedicine
We synthesize smart nanoparticles to pack imaging probes, chemotherapeutics, nucleic acids (mRNA, siRNA, miRNA), and/or immunomodulators and to target physiological characteristics, stroma cells, and/or metabolic interactions in the tumor microenvironment for precision nanomedicine.
Engineering Immunotherapy
Translational Delivery
We implement multidisciplinary approaches to enhance in vivo transport of diagnostics and therapeutics across biological barriers such as the respiratory mucosa, the small intestine, and skin.
